Sandwiched between the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco and the Sahara, the beautiful mountain region of Jebel Saghro is the perfect destination for winter sunshine trekking. Our Jbel Saghro Trekking 5 Days walking adventure holiday in Morocco takes you from magical Marrakech to explore the heart of the Jebel Saghro. We’ll be trekking amongst rocky peaks, hidden valleys and green oases, where we’ll find the traditional villages of the welcoming Berber people. Walking along quiet trails through a variety of spectacular Jebel Saghro scenery, we’ll trek to the summit of the highest peak in the Jebel Saghro range, Amalou n’Mansour (2712m). With warm days and crystal clear visibility, the walking conditions are ideal and the vistas are superb, with the views northwards from the Jebel Saghro over to the sparkling snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas Mountains. An exciting drive across the High Atlas Mountains sees us back in UNESCO Marrakech. Here we have a free day to explore the bustling Djemaa-el-Fna and souk, which provides a fitting end to this spectacular two week adventure trekking holiday in the undiscovered Jebel Saghro!

Itinerary
We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
Day 1: MARRAKECH -TICHKA – OUARZAZAT – TAGDILT
Early departure towards Ouarzazate via the Tizi N’ Tichka pass. After discovering the Dades Valley and its thousand Kasbahs, we drive due south through a desert plateau to the village of Tagdilt. Overnight homestay at 1650m. 6H to 7H drive.
Day 1: MARRAKECH -TICHKA – OUARZAZAT – TAGDILT
Day 2: TAGDILT – COL N’IFERD – IREFD – PLATEAU N’OUARG (2250 M)
At the start of the hike, we witness the loading of the mules. We cross a huge plateau before taking the height towards the Tizi N’iferd pass (2400m): beautiful view from afar on the central high atlas massif. Then we descend to the Iferd plateau. Installation of our bivouac on a plateau often traveled by the semi-nomadic transhumant of Ait Atta. Night in tents at 2250m. 5H30 to 6H walk.
Day 3: ALMOU N’OUARG – SUMMIT OF KOUAOUCK (2600M) – IGLI (1700M)
We start with a nice climb to the top of Kouaouch (2600 m). A climb that does not require any technical means. Our cook brings us the picnic. Descent via Tassegdilt. Overnight in tents in Igli at 1700m. 5H30 to 6H walk.
Day 4: IGLI – IGHAZOUN THROUGH DAWABID
We go down by Igli we pass by a natural anthropomorphic like the head of an elephant, tizi nognid, barko Lunch at dawabid, Then we arrive at ighazoune, Night under tents in breathtaking views very calm. 4h30 to 5h walk.
Day 5: IGHAZOUN OASIS – BAB N ALI
Departure from ighazoune at 8:30 a.m. towards bab n ali through the needles of tiblah. A language descent from the beautiful valley of the same name. Lunch under the panoramic views of the needles. The continuation towards the bab n ali, night at the bivouac under the shining stars in front of the two cliffs of Bab N’Ali. 5 to 6 hour walk
Day 6: BAB N ALI – VILLAGE OF KASBAH NKOUB – AGDEZ – OUARZAZAT- MARRAKECH
We go down by Igli weAfter the thanks of our mule team, a piece of a marvelous adventure of the djabel and the saghro plateaus, arriving in marrakech the most beautiful tourist city or morocco and the world. Day 7: Marrakech
Our last day trek in Jbel Saghro will be to drive to Marrakech. We will cross the valley of Draa valley. Lunch will be in Ouarzazate city where we also will stop to visit the highlight of the city. In the afternoon we drive back to Marrakech crossing again the High Atlas mountains.
